preschool field trip...

...to the Post Office

Kate's preschool went on a field trip to the post office. It was actually really interesting for the parents but probably pretty boring for the kids. They did however, really love getting in the mail truck. (thanks for the pictures Melanie)

Dustin's Birthday

Yesterday was Dustin's Birthday. We celebrated it by having cake and ice cream and watching the Colts game. It was a great day!
Elle found someones leftover cake, and decided to act quickly! I couldn't resist taking a picture of a topless girl in a tutu eating cake.

Parker got hit in the head by a door knob, and then a follow up hit later in the day by a plastic golf club. This picture really doesn't do his goose egg justice at all...it was the biggest goose egg I have ever seen. OUCH!!!!

Family Home Evening

Tonight we wanted to go bowling for family night. So we went to the bowling alley, there was a 1 hour wait, so we decided to get some dinner and then come back. We came back about an hour later, and the guy said it would be another hour. Not going to happen, it's a school night. So we decided to let the kids play the arcade games instead. They loved it! Loved it much more than bowling! (and the guy at the bowling alley gave us coupons for free bowling for next time)

The newest member of our family!

Dustin's safe came today, he is so excited to have it.
He says that it is unfortunate that the newest member of our family is empty inside...he is currently excepting donations to cure this problem.

Manicure day at the Smith's

Lauren helped paint Kates nails.
Elle got her nails painted for the first time. It is a super light pink, and I just realized you can't really see it in this picture. Oh well, it's going to have to do. The point is she LOVED it...smiled the whole time.

What must Elle be thinking? Why do 1 yr. olds think it is ok to climb up on the table? She does this all of the time, and has only fallen off a couple of times. You can totally tell by the picture that she knows she is in trouble.

We made brownies for family night. Parker was sure he could crack the eggs. Crack them he did...and the whole egg ended up outside of the bowl, and the shell in the bowl. oops!
