1st Break on Car Trip to Utah

The car trip was long, but the kids did really good. Our first pit stop was a relief to everybody.

 

The place where we stopped had a river next to it that we all enjoyed. It was really cool.

This year Lauren and Kate decided that they wanted to do volleyball. (Lauren has played before, but this is Kate's first time) The girls are really enjoying it.

Nana and Bumpa Visit / Air and Space Museum

Just a little bit after Elle's birthday, Nana and Bumpa came to visit. One of the things we did, was go to the 'Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space museum. There were so many cool planes and we had so much fun with Nana and Bumpa.

Yeah, we know Nana and Bumpa don't look very happy in this picture, but they had a lot of fun. :)

Elle's 4th Birthday

This year our Elle-Belle turned 4 on August 18th.

 She got lots of Polly Pockets for her birthday. 

 For birthday dinner, we went to the park and had a picnic.

Lauren is starting 6th grade, Parker is starting 3rd grade, and Kate is starting 1st grade at Mammoth Heights Elementary.

Cousins, Part 2

 

 

One other thing that we did while cousins were here was go bowling. It was really fun, with a close tie between Parker, and Brittney. (Parker won!)

Cousins, and Night Games

 

 

 

A couple of weeks ago, Brittney, Myia, and Kenny came to visit for a week. All of the kid (and parents) had so much fun playing with cousins. We played night games, lots and lots of cards, went to the pool, and lots of other things. By the end of the week, everyone was really, really tired. The whole Smith family had so much fun when cousins came to visit.

All of the kids have begged for a dog since they have learned to talk. We said we would get one when Elle was old enough, but now she is, so we knew we had to get one. We searched for a long time, then we finally found one- in Utah. Some cousins were coming out in a couple days, so they went and got her, and took her out here while they were coming to visit.
